Pattern Parcel #4: Boy's edition (Jet Back Bag)

Today I'm showing you another pattern from the awesome Pattern Parcel #4, the Jet Back Bag by Betz White. I really love the feel of this bag it's small but not too small, it's just big enough to put everything you really need in it. I made this bag for my 2 years old son Trent and it looks HUGE on him hehe but, he is OBSESSED with backpacks ever since his sister's started school all he wants to do is wear a backpack. So when I received this pattern pack and seen the backpack I thought YES! hes going to have his own back pack now and let me tell you he LOVES it.

The pattern parcel #4: boy's edition comes with 6 pretty amazing patterns that are staple pieces of any wardrobe.

Pattern Parcel #4 includes:
Maxwell Top by Shwin Designs
Zippy Jacket by Blank Slate Patterns
Schoolboy Vest by Sew Much Ado
Small Fry Jeans by Titchy Threads
Jet Back Bag by Betz White

My first pattern I did out of the collection was the Schoolboy Vest where you can find it right HERE, I want to do a post for each pattern so I can highlight them seeing they're all from different designers and I want them to shine on there own! Then at the end I will put them all together and do a collective post with everything on my bubs :o)

Betz White has some amazing tutorials and patterns on her blog so please be sure to stop by and check her out.

Now with the Jet Back Bag I followed the direction but didn't add any pockets because it's for my two year old and he really doesn't need any pockets for anything. I really like how it turned out but I have to say it does look different then the bag above, its longer and skinnier and wasn't as fat. I still love it and so does Trent he's walking around the house right now telling his sister's "backpack, backpack". It's a win win really.

My Jet Back Bag......

Robot's in space I think it turned out so cute!

I love how it's almost as big as him, hehe

I love the theme of the bag, it's just so perfect.

I only put D rings on the bottom where the straps are because I knew he would never have the straps the other way.

He rocks this bag for sure, I love my boy

See this bag is thinner and longer but hey I still love the way it turned out. I really don't think it could have turned out any cuter to me :o)

He's rocking his star wars pants and high tops ;)

I had to show you Trent's high top we got them for 2 bucks (brand new in a store) :D

  1. This looks awesome, Amanda! My son will want a robot Jet Pack too!

  2. What a fab version of the backpack. The fabric is just perfect for little boys. Strange how it turned out a different shape. I'd prefer the squarer shape if it were for me. But your shape looks good and practical for kids.
