Anthro inspired headband~tutorial Craft 1
This headband is called Chrysanthemum crown headband from Anthropologie and for some reason they would like to charge you 218$ for this cute headband. But not an omg i'm going to go out and put 200 dollars down on a freaking headband. so when I seen it I told me self I can make this head band for free and that is exactly what I did, and I made it from and old curtain I had, and this is how I made a 200 plus headband for nothing....and it takes minutes to make...
My version free from an old curtain
old curtain
felt
needle and thread
and some scissors
cut a strip off the curtain you can choice longer short smaller wider up to you
now you want to cut slits all the way across your strip you can round the edges out if you would like but I just keep them how they were, this is the longest part you could fold it and cut slits that way but I just did one at a time
now on the part where you didn't cut the slits you are going to feed the needle in and out bunching it together like a ruffle and that will start to shape the "flower" look
once all sewn up you want to take a piece of felt and at this point I would hot glue it on but I didn't feel like getting the glue gun out, so I just sewed it right on and then once sewn on you could add a pin...or you could add enough piece of felt with an opening to put your headband or clip through..or you could sew on a hippie band your choice...
And you are done so easy took around 10-15 minutes, so you could make a bunch in an hour try it out you will love it in the end :)
crafts 2 and 3 will be posted tomorrow :)
