sunbursting mirror tutorial

Yesterday I was somewhat productive but Sora never wants to take a nap anymore , so I need to get better at multi tasking it was pretty good yesterday. Any who me and my husband love this Vietnam restaurant and everytime I go there I kind of take handfuls of chopsticks because I've had this project in mind for awhile now so here is my version of a starburst mirror...Chloe likes sitting in front of it saying "ahh its hot, look at the sun mom" haha so imaginative.

handfuls of chopsticks, a mirror, tape and scissor for the moment, and glue gun (not pictured)
Pull your chopsticks apart I first started with two like this and two going the other way and filled in the middles  like so

keep filling

after they are all in place I then glued each one down and then removed the tape so they all would stay in place.

next I took some gold paint that i've had and painted each chopstick

glued some pearls on for some pizazz, I took this picture before I painted the entire chopstick haha so it looks a little tacky there. I also kept some paint along the edges I liked the look and then I brought some pink paint in to the mix to give it an even better look.

add a huge flower for more pizazz (awhile back I took a bunch of fabric and ruffled it never did anything with it until now.) I also added a piece of ribbon to hold the mirror up.
The lighting in my house sucks but its super cute close up or so I think, my husband liked it when he got home from work if that means anything hehe.
