CraftingCon Hunger Games: Effie Trinket Pattern and Tutorial

I am SO excited today to show off my version of the star Effie Trinket for CraftingCon-Hunger Games , I have a tutorial for my Effie top over at Mae&K today. I seriously just watch the Hunger Games you just wait to see Effie and see the craziness she is wearing it's the best for real! I knew right off the bat that I wanted to do Effie she a fashion icon in the Hunger Games series and I knew I wanted to go big or go home!

The only picture I could find of the top I made for Chloe is this picture but if you watch Hunger Games: Catching Fire it's 1 hour and 9 minutes into the movie and she is wearing this top that is FULL of tulle every where and she was wearing a matching pencil skirt.

For Chloe's Effie outfit I decided to match the top for the most part then I made a normal skirt with lace over the top i'm pretty sure she rocked it all the way to the bank :o)

I made her sleeves super huge and puffy just like Effie's and tulle is all over this peplum top (I used the free pattern you can find HERE) then I made my own puff sleeve pattern to go with it. For the skirt I just measured her waist and to her knee cut out the fabric plus some white lace and sewed it up for a wearable Effie.

I then put some make up on her some foundation to make her face a little white and some red lips, with her hair I was going to go up and crazy but in the end decided to go down added product to her hair bobby pinned her hair back and there you have it my oldest looking all grown up...She is growing way to fast!

I really loved how it turned out EXACTLY how I envisioned it and then some when we went to this orange tree park couple miles up from my house, she may have complained about the dirty a ton but overall she did an awesome job :o)

She was actually really excited about this photo shoot because she watches Hunger Games so she knew exactly who Effie was and how she exacted.

I would have to say this is my most favorite blog tour to date because of how much I love these movies, of getting out and taking these pictures of my daughter, and getting to make this amazing outfit that I think turned out pretty stinking awesome if I do say so my self.

You can see her shine white face and red lips in this picture

Thank you for taking a look at my Effie outfit

I'm excited to show it off....

And remember...

May The Odd's Be Ever In Your Favor!
